Hi all and welcome, I'm Saralaya and I'm excited to get to know you, but first, you probably want to know a little about me and why I opened Magnolia yoga and movement..
I'm a mum of three, a corporate professional and a yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga asana (postures) for almost 20 years. Does that mean I can put my foot behind my head? Maybe . . . maybe not. . . does that even matter when it comes to yoga? I don't think so. Why yoga matters to me is that it has always provided me the space to receive different things from my practice whether it be physical, mental or spiritual, depending on where I was in my life. It is this connection with self that has kept me coming back to my mat.
With this recognition, I decided to do my yoga teacher training in 2017, so that i could share with others what I have come to know as something that has helped me feel grounded, whole and calmer in situations that I might not have otherwise been. Yoga also gives me the space to slow down and free my mind from the busy that is life and physically move my body in ways that are empowering, healing and restorative.
